UBC Trek Park supporters ‘cuffed, arrested

Some UBC students found themselves arrested Friday night after an event to raise awareness took an unexpected turn.
The event, Knoll Aid 2.0, was held in the area dubbed Trek Park, which is across from the student union building where the former UBC bus loop was, and includes the grassy knoll.
“This is the biggest protest movement I’ve seen here and I’ve been here for six years,” said Jesse Ferreras, a UBC master’s of journalism student. “It’s refreshing.”
